GENERAL INFORMATION
As an international student, you have to fulfill all course requirements to continue your academic journey at ICS in compliance with student visa regulations which means that you have to come for all your registered classes. Part of the regulation is that you are a full-time student and attend classes as per the schedule given. Should you be found absent for three consecutive days, ICS will be required to report the absenteeism to the Immigration Department, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Higher Education and the Bukit Aman Police Headquarters.
ATTENDANCE
In line with the Malaysian Immigration policies on student pass, INTI has a very strict policy on International Students’ attendance. IO is required to report students absenteeism to Immigration Office should the student failed to attend classes without valid medical certificate.
IO wish to remind all international students that INTI has the regular attendance policy of reporting absenteeism after the 4th time of each subjects in addition to the requirement by Malaysia Immigration Department. If an international student fails to attend classes for three (3) consecutive days and can’t be contacted within three (3) working days at his / her official residential address, INTI shall consider him / her missing. The institution reserves the right to inform the parents, the above mention authority and the respective embassy.
It is compulsory for all international students to attend all classes. If attendance falls below 80% without any valid reasons, it will results been barred from sitting for the final examination/s . Please produce medical certificates or written letter for any absenteeism.
International Students have to meet the attendance and results guideline set by the Immigration Department. All students have to obtain at least CGPA 2.0 for their semester results and attendance have to be 85% and above.
LEAVE / ABSENCE / SEMESTER BREAK
International Students are NOT allowed to take leave / absence / semester break without prior approval from the institution. It is the Immigration Department rules that all international students must enroll for their respective programme / course every semester. If students fail to do so, strict action will be taken against them.
TRANSFERRING BETWEEN INSTITUTION
With effect from 2008, Immigration Department has imposed strict ruling on all international students who wish to transfer to another institution. All international students are only allowed to transfer not more than twice to any institution of their choice. In order to be successfully transferred to, student must produce new offer letter from the new institution with acceptable attendance and results.
INTI is NOT responsible for any unsuccessful transfer between institution.
OVERSTAY
Overstayed occurs when student fail to submit their passport to International Office for student pass endorsement or student pass renewal after the expiry date of your current valid pass.
Penalties for OVERSTAYING in Malaysia according to the Immigration Act may include the following:
A) Fine up to RM10,000.00
B) Up to 5 years of imprisonment
C) Up to 6 strokes of cane

WITHDRAWAL
Students who wish to withdraw from INTI are required to submit their withdrawal form, original passport, confirmed return ticket to home country or new offer letter from another institution.
INTI will start to process the refund of deposit and balance of excess payment (if there is any) back to students once they have submitted their passport to I.O for student pass cancellation.
Please allow minimum of seven (14) working days of processing time from the date of passport submission to shortened the student pass. International Office is not responsible if the process of cancellation cannot be completed by or before the flight departure date due to any unforeseen circumstances, as the Malaysian Immigration Department control the entire process.
